New client Memberoo, along with CEO and founder Emma Smith, made a splash on the Real Business website on Tuesday in a piece entitled ‘Achieving growth as a UK tech venture with a great idea.’

It was a great start to what we hope will be a long train of PR successes for Memberoo. Real Business is an especially good fit, as well, as it is the most read SME website in the UK (with nearly 125,000 unique monthly visitors), and Memberoo is a technology platform aimed squarely at SMEs.

Describing the company’s positioning to Real Business readers, Emma said:

“Every organisation wants members to join their mailing list, visit their website, and fill out online surveys, but for us, as the public, it gets annoying. There are too many places to go, too many websites and now too many apps to download. The idea of bringing organisations together to connect, engage and learn in one space inspired me to create my own tech company.

“I wanted to provide a place for the public to connect with the businesses, communities and companies they want to interact with, and provide the tools to allow engagement managers to organise these people more easily and efficiently, and that’s just what we’ve done.”

We are delighted to be working with Memberoo, and we’re pleased to say we’ve been up to much more than PR.

Refreshing the company messaging so that it’s exactly right has been the main priority. It’s been an evolutionary process, as the discussions we’ve had have themselves sparked a rethinking of the customer proposition. A revised home page will be appearing soon and more changes to the website will be appearing soon.

Our Digital Imp, Nick Brown, has been working hard with CTO and co-founder Don Keir to boost memberoo.net’s search engine rankings. We’re pleased to say their MOZ Domain Authority has risen from a 12 to a 19 since he started his work. Tuesday’s piece in Real Business may be enough to get it over the psychologically important 20 mark, as memberoo.net was provided with a ‘follow’ link, and realbusiness.co.uk has a whopping 52 Domain Authority.

We’ve had a great start in all three areas Memberoo asked us to help with (marketing, PR, and SEO) and we plan to delivery more of the same in coming months. Especially exciting will be the addition of a digital loyalty app which vastly boost the power of the Memberoo feature set, making it the ultimate SME customer engagement toolbox.

Stay tuned for more!
